OML303 Career Planning and Progression
This course provides a comprehensive review of topic. Highlights include assessment of career interests, skills, and values with an emphasis on the development of a professional portfolio. An in-depth review of career transition techniques, promotion strategies, and mentoring of subordinates. 3 credit hours; 5 week module

OML305 Organizational Theory and Group Decision Making
Introduction to the history and theories of organizational development. Special attention is given to group interaction and the decision-making process as a framework for the participative learning required in this program. 3 credit hours; 5 week module

OML370 Perspectives in Leadership
Surveys leadership perspectives from the traditional to contemporary approaches. Emphasis will be given to situational styles of leadership along with key practices and skills. 3 credit hours; 5 week module

OML420 Managing Human Resources
The development and utilization of human resources in organizations is considered. The staffing process, the collective bargainings and current management issues are discussed. In addition, the arena of international business is studied. 3 credit hours; 5 week module

OML450 Methods of Social Science Research
(Also SOCS) Introduction to the use of the scientific method in social science research. Consideration given to formulation of problems, techniques of gathering data, presentation and interpretation of research. 3 credit hours; 5 week module

OML489 Special Topics in Leadership
This e-class facilitated by the OML Director (or delegate) will discuss timely leadership quandaries of society, integrate course work of the program and assess student and program goals. 1 credit hour; on-line

Designed to explore problems of special interest in studentÕs area of concentration. 1 credit hour; 1 week module

Project Module: OML499 Leadership in a Global Society
This capstone course will explore leadership skills needed in organizations that function in a global society. Globalization as a major context of organizational change will be reviewed for its advantages and disadvantages. Students will reflect on their philosophy of leadership. 3 credit hours; 3 week module

CAPS302 Analysis, Principles and Skills of Adult Learning
The gateway course for students entering degree-completion programs that provides tools for success in adult learning. Adult learning theory and practices will be examined with emphasis on the Kolb model. Students will examine ways in which they learn other than formal classroom settings. Participants will explore issues such as: time management, expectations of students and instructors, critical thinking skills. This course is to be required for all degree completion programs. 1 credit hour; 3 week module

CAPS303 Conflict Resolution and Communications in a Professional Environment
This course applies the theories and models of communication and negotiation principles to real-life social and business communication problems. Special emphasis is placed on hands-on opportunities for students to learn by doing. 3 credit hours; 5 week module

CAPS340 Business Management Application
The focus of this course is to merge management content into a behaviorally anchored approach to the traditional management functions. Familiarizes students with the skills of management such as delegating, coaching, conflict resolution, stress management, problem solving, and building effective teams. Also includes managerial roles and responsibilities, effective decision making, productivity improvement, and modules and theories of human behavior. 3 credit hours; 5 week module

CAPS415 Ethics in Professional Life
This course will introduce students to professional ethics through the consideration of ethical theory, current issues and practices in business, and professional codes and standards. Ethical issues within a business organization and those raised by the impact of business on the community will be considered with attention given to contemporary issues including the impact of technology on business and society and the conduct of business in a diverse society. Students will develop and apply their own code of professional ethics. 3 credit hours; 6 week module

CAPS430 The Search for Meaning in a Changing World
An integrated humanities overview: the interrelations of history, art, literature, music and philosophy (not dealt with as isolated disciplines). Each area of the course begins with discussion of historical backgrounds and philosophical trends, and further discussion of the art, literature and music that reflects those backgrounds and trends. 3 credit hours; 6 week module
