Description
This 52-hour program provides academic and clinical training in the professional discipline of marriage and family therapy. The program meets the education requirements for licensure in Kansas and Missouri for practitioners seeking the designation of licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT). The program is taught by full-time Ph.D.-level faculty members committed to the profession and practice of marriage and family therapy and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE).

STRONG CLINICAL TRAINING
COAMFTE accreditation standards provide students with the strongest master's-level clinical training requirements of any mental health degree. Students spend 15 months in clinical practice under faculty supervision.

The family therapy program faculty members are committed to training and mentoring students in the field of marriage and family therapy. Their commitment to the profession is shown through their degrees in accredited marriage and family programs, AAMFT Clinical membership, AAMFT Approved Supervisor status, and licensure as clinical marriage and family therapist.
