Financial Aid: State Aid
The following is a comprehensive list of state financial-aid options. If you feel that you are eligible to receive one or more of the above types of aid, follow the steps needed to apply for the aid. Kansas Comprehensive Grant
A need-based grant to help assist students who choose independent or private institutions. To apply you must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Renewal requires a CGPA of 2.0 and continued financial need.

Priority consideration deadline is March 15.

State processing deadline is April 1.

(There are limited funds given to the institution for this grant. The grant is awarded to qualified students in the order of file completion date.)

Minority Scholarship
A need-based award to assist ethnic minority students attending Kansas two or four year institutions. Selection is based on academic performance, ethnic category and financial need. To apply you must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the State Student Aid Application. Renewal requires a CGPA of 2.0.

State processing deadline is April 1.

State Scholar Scholarship
A need-based award to assist students designated during their high school senior year as being a State Scholar. The ACT assessment must be taken between April of the sophomore year and December of the senior year and the Regents recommendation curriculum completed. To apply you must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the State Student Aid Application. Renewal requires a CGPA of 3.0.

State deadline is May 1.

Teacher Scholarship
A service-based award to encourage high academic achievers to enter teaching, teach in Kansas and teach in "hard-to-fill" disciplines. Undergraduates without prior teacher certification eligibility may be considered. You must submit the academic application. Recipients must teach in Kansas one year for each year of funding or repay the funds at 15 percent interest. To apply you must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the State Student Aid Application. Renewal requires good academic standing and continued enrollment in teacher education.

State deadline is April 1.
